In Yellowstone National Park there’s a geological feature called the Heart Mountain slide. Now, a layer of sediments—nearly one-third of a mile thick—broke away. It slid 30 miles down a nearly flat slope, attaining a top speed of nearly one hundred miles per hour!

Scientists who start with the idea that the “present is the key to the past” have a hard time explaining this catastrophe. But the flood explains it! The flood … and its aftermath … created unique conditions for catastrophes like this huge slide.
