As we’ve learned this week, many Christians are so influenced by evolution that they don’t even think that Adam was a historical person. Many argue Adam was just a metaphor or myth.

But the Gospel of Luke traces Jesus’ ancestry all the way back to Adam. So, was Jesus the descendant of a metaphor or a myth? Of course not! Adam was a real, historical person.

The Apostle Paul says Adam brought death into the world and that’s why we need Jesus, the Last Adam. Without Adam, there’s no reason for Jesus.

Jude mentions Enoch as a historical person . . . who was the seventh from Adam.

And Jesus used the creation of Adam and Eve to talk about marriage.
